The Delta Prima Foam Units provide the equivalent fire power of 40 x standard foam extinguishers and are widely used by Professional Fire Services around the world.
Suitable for use with all foam types including fluorine-free foams.
Delta's Prima foam unit is a portable foam discharge unit that provides the equivalent fire power of 40 standard foam extinguishers. It is designed for rapid response to flammable-liquid spills and fires where extinguishers alone may be inadequate.
The Prima connects to a pressurised water supply (hydrant or hose reel) and can operate at inlet pressures as low as 2 bar. In low expansion (LX), medium expansion (MX) or dual LX/MX variants, it delivers high volumes of foam with long run times; a single LX unit produces a foam throw of 6.5 m at 3.5 bar.
They are widely used by fire and rescue services, industrial facilities, marine operators, waste-recycling sites, petrochemical plants, oil and gas sectors, mining, chemical facilities, aviation and nuclear sectors. Typical applications include car ferry decks, flammable liquid stores, fuel loading racks and engine rooms, although their applications are virtually limitless.
Prima units come with British or international inlet adaptors, such as BSP, Instantaneous or Storz, and quick-release Storz-D fittings on the discharge hoses. Foam induction is integral, so no separate inductor is required.
